Stainless steel – the best choice for our products.

Edelstahl – das beste Material für Coffee to go-Becher, Thermobehälter und Trinkflasche.

Whether muki or FLSK drinking bottle – we want our products to make you happy all around. That's why we only use the very best material: stainless steel. It meets the highest demands in terms of weight (ultra-light!), durability (robust!) and function (insulated!).

That alone is convincing, but stainless steel can do even more. The material is good for the environment and healthy for you, because it does not emit any harmful substances. Find out how our drinking bottles and snackpots are constructed and why you can count on FLSK's high quality products.

Testing materials.

There are few things that get as close to you as your drinking or food containers. They transport what will later find its way into your body. Whether it's coffee or breakfast - the inner walls often stay in direct contact with your food for a long time. Reason enough to take a closer look.

At home, there are often many different snack boxes and drinking bottles. Do you know exactly what they are made of? Probably from one of the five most common materials: Tritan, glass, plastic, aluminium and stainless steel. Often a coating containing bisphenol A is also involved.

Who's who?

• Tritan: This material is both the latest and probably the most common material for the production of drinking bottles – among other reasons because it has been proven to contain no bisphenol A. It is light and robust, but has only been researched to a limited extent: at present, it cannot be ruled out that Tritan contains and releases harmful substances. In addition, Tritan is difficult to recycle – which harms the environment in the long term.

• Glass: Glass, on the other hand, contains no harmful substances and is neutral in taste. The disadvantage: it is more fragile than all other materials. This means it is not suitable for many activities. Break-proof models are then considerably heavier.

• Plastic: Most food containers and many inexpensive drinking bottles are made of plastic. This collective term covers different types of plastic. Most are not odourless, discolour over time and can release harmful substances into food. The warmer the food stored, the more likely it is to do so.

• Aluminium: It is better to avoid products made of aluminium (including aluminium foil). Scientists speak of a considerable risk to health. To contain its toxic properties, bottles are often coated with BPA. Whether this makes the bottle less harmful is questionable.

• Stainless steel: Stainless steel has many valuable characteristics. It is stable and unbreakable and thus durable. At the same time, it weighs little. Containers and bottles made of stainless steel do not emit any harmful substances and are neutral in taste. In addition, germs hardly stand a chance with stainless steel. The material is also easy to recycle and thus protects nature.

Conclusion: Glass is impractical, Tritan not sufficiently researched, and aluminium most likely poisonous. That leaves stainless steel. We think that stainless steel is the material best suited for the production of water bottles and snack boxes

FLSK – sustainable products made of stainless steel.

Stainless steel plays the leading role in all our products. For you, this means that you can simply lean back and relax. The FLSK drinking bottle and the muki snack pot are safe for you and the environment and at the same time, thanks to the unique VICC® technology, they are real insulating masters.

How the FLSK water bottle is built:

    • Your favourite bottle Is formed by two layers of high-quality stainless steel (type 304), with a vacuum in between. The inner body of the bottle is additionally coated with copper.

    • On the outside, the FLSK bottle is finished off with a robust powder coating in one of the many great colours.

    • The double-walled thermos bottle made of stainless steel is completely taste-neutral and free of bisphenol A.

    • The lid is also made of type 304 stainless steel. For the stopper, screw and seal, flexible silicone is used, which ensures thermal insulation and leakage safety in this critical part. Of course, also this material is taste-neutral and BPA-free.

How the muki snack pot is built:

      • Your breakfast hero consists of two stainless steel containers separated by a middle part, the ThermoGuard.
      • The ThermoGuard made of BPA- and BPS-free plastic and silicone closes the double-walled bottom container (muki pot) and prevents a temperature exchange between muki top and muki pot. A valve ensures the necessary pressure relief, especially with hot contents, so that you can always open the muki without any problems.
      • The upper container (muki top) can be closed additionally by a lid with a sealing ring, so that nothing will leak.
      • The outsides of the muki are either finished off with a harmless lacquer that gives them their colour, or they are simply left in pure stainless steel.
